There are a lot of books. These are written by experts and found useful by people who hoard.The basic content will be similar.

Check if your library has copies.

Reddit has sites that provide anonymous peer support online.Hoarding is also used by friends/family. Its wiki has a lot of information. Reddit Declutter‘s wiki includes a page with a list of resources. There is also Reddit Shopping addiction and ChildofHoarder

Falls

Falls Prevention NHS. Written for older people, but the tips avoiding falls at home apply at any age.


Explaining your situation

The Hoarder Ice-Breaker Form can be helpful to start conversations with a GP or trusted friend.There is a page with guidance on what to do. Unfortunately, GPs are really busy. Prioritise what you want to say, and tell them if there is a deadline.

The clutter image ratings can help to show what your home looks like. You can also show photos.If you can only get a phone appointment, explain that images are important.
